Description:  The mimosa tree, or Albizia julibrissin, is known as “Collective Happiness Tree” in the Chinese materia medica. We use both the bark and flower.  It is a powerful Shen Tonic that supports brain health, sleep, and mental and emotional well-being.  Recent preliminary studies on Albizia have shown its use as a powerful sedative, worry-relieving, mood regulating, relaxing, calming, and neurodegenerative protecting herb, that even helps with sleep.

Albizia is loaded with antioxidants (antioxidants fight off free radicals, those destructive cells that accelerate aging).  It has a two-thousand-year-old reputation for its mood-regulating and calming effects that help you relax.  In China, they say that the Albizia bark helps to anchor the spirit, while the flowers lighten it.  It has been used by ancient Chinese and Ayurvedic medicine schools for thousands of years.
