Ingredients:  100% Pure Cold Pressed Kusum Seed (Macassar) Oil

Description:  Kusum oil is extracted from the seed of the Kusum tree, and is used in hairdressing for dry hair. Macassar oil can restore shine and volume to dry or damaged hair, and make it feel soft and nourished. It can also help with hair texture, style management, and strengthening. Macassar oil is also great for beards and moustaches.

Kusum oil has been used for centuries. It was discovered by a London hairdresser, and was said to cure baldness.

Kusum oil has been used for skin conditions like scabies, itching, and acne.

Smell:  Macassar oil typically has a tropical scent with notes of coconut, ylang ylang and lemon.

Botany, Cultivation & Harvesting:  The kusum tree is native to South Asia, but is also found in some parts of Southeast Asia.

To collect the seeds, the bunches of fruit are plucked by climbing the tree. The fruit pulp is removed by rubbing the fruits in water and letting them dry.

Contraindications & Toxicity:

• Kusum (Macassar) oil may cause damage / staining to upholstery, textiles, woods, etc. Items should be protected from contact.
• Do not use if pregnant or nursing.
