Before you engage in your pursuit of performing magic spells and rituals to achieve your intentions, remember that magic comes from YOU. You don’t need fancy things, special items, or anything other than your own powerful magical energy to manifest your desires. Herbs, incenses, crystals, etc. are supplements to enhance your connection with nature and mystical energies. For many thousands of years, elements of nature have been used to amplify and aid in spiritual practices. Your spiritual journey is your own, and no two paths are the same. No one is right or wrong. Your chosen God, Goddess, or Deity that you find a connectedness with is special to your own personal spirituality. Preparing The Altar for Your Attracting Love and Desire Ritual

• The best time to initiate this ritual is during the waxing moon on a Friday, which is best for attracting love and initiating new relationships.
• If you choose, place statues of the gods and/or goddesses you wish to call upon on your altar, perhaps along with representations of the sacred animals that support them. Or leave your spirit open to blessings from any god or goddess. Sacred animals that represent love include swans and doves ; dogs and beavers for loyalty; horses for love and fertility; cats and snakes for sensuality and seduction.
• Place your bell on the altar, but do not yet ring it. (Brass Altar Bell with Wooden Handle, Copper Altar Bell with Wooden Handle, Tingsha Cymbals)
• Gather your herbs and essential oils that best meet your intentions. These should be herbs to use as offering on your altar, herbs for your tea, and your chosen blend of essential oils for anointing. Be sure that pure essential oils are properly diluted in a carrier oil.
• Prepare a sigil and offering to the gods and goddesses. Leave wine, honey, home-made bread, cakes, hot soup, olive oil, milk, cheese, eggs, dried fruits, and grains. 
• Place one large rose quartz crystal, one large garnet crystal, one large emerald crystal, one large moonstone crystal, and one large amber piece on the altar. If you choose, place a clear quartz pillar or clear quartz cluster on the altar nearby to amplify energies.
• For intentions of attraction love and romance, place your Love Potion Candle in the center of the altar or center of your pentagram, and surround with 5 smaller candles (either all pink, or one white, one red, one green, one gold, and one purple), or place each smaller candle at the five points of your pentagram. For intentions of attracting sexuality and passion, place your Enchantment Candle in the center of the altar or center of your pentagram, and surround with 5 smaller red candles or place at the five points of your pentagram. Do not yet light your candles.
• Prepare your incense with cinnamon, cloves, frankincense, benzoin, dragon’s blood, white willow, oud, and/or sandalwood. Prepare your censor or burner but do not yet light it.

 

Cleansing, Purification, and Self-Blessing for Attracting Love and Desire

• Prior to performing your spell or ritual to attract love and desire, it is important to cleanse and purify your body as well as your altar.
  • For the purpose of attracting love and desire, bathe morning and night in a blend of Himalayan Pink Salt, finely cut or ground Blessed Thistle, Aloe Vera Oil, fresh whole organic milk, and Cascarilla powder or fresh organic unbleached eggs. If looking for a short-term trist, substitute the Aloe Vera oil for Evening Primrose oil. Or use an all-purpose purification ritual bath. Either can be used added to a bath, or as a shower wash.
  • Anoint your body with a purification oil blend. Start with your face and neck, then the chest and midsection, then rub the oil from the shoulders down through the hands brushing outward of the fingertips on each arm, then from the hips through the feet brushing outward of the toes on each leg.
  • Perform a self-blessing ritual. There are many different rituals for self-blessing. Find and use the ritual that feels right for you. 
  • Either remain nude or dress in only a robe.
  • Adorn yourself with the jewelry you have chosen to draw and amplify your intentions.
  • Purify your altar by asperging with salt water infused with a sprig of fresh bay or dried bay leaves, and rosemary.
  • Anoint the sides of your candles with your anointing essential oil blend.

 

Performing Your Ritual for Attracting Love and Desire

• Perform your ritual after sunset during the waxing moon on a Friday.
• Prepare your tea and relax. A good tea for a romantic love attraction ritual is a blend of Holy Basil (Tulsi), Apple Blossoms, and dried Apple Fruit. For attracting passion and sexual desire, try a blend of Oolong with Damiana and Coriander Seeds.
• Light your candles and your incense. Use your smudge fan to waft the incense smoke over the altar and yourself.
• Meditate for a time on the light of your candles, while taking deep breaths in and slowly breathing out. Continue your meditation on your intention while deep breathing and relaxing deeper and deeper for several minutes or for as long as you need. It helps for some to meditate while sitting in certain poses. For example, the Bound Angle (also called the Butterfly, Baddha Konasana, or Throne) pose is useful for increasing sexual energy, the Child’s Pose (also called Balasana) is a resting pose that opens the hips and activates sexual glands, and the Seated Cat Cow Pose (also called Bidalasana) is a good morning pose for opening the heart and inviting love throughout the day. Meditating while performing Mudras (hand gestures) can also be helpful. Some helpful Mudras for love and attraction meditations include Ganesha Mudra, Padma Mudra, Kundalini Mudra, Ushas Mudra, and Abhaya Hridaya Mudra. It can also sometimes help to recite Mantras for attraction like the Gauri Mantra, Om Krishnaya Namah, Kamadeva, Hrim, and Om Kamala-yei Namah.
• When ready, gently ring your bell three times while focusing on your physical sensations and how the energy changes.
• Commence your personal ritual / spell for your intention, calling upon and asking your Gods/Goddesses for favor in fulfilling your request in your own way.
• Spend as much time as you need speaking to your deities.
• When finished, thank them for their grace, kindness, and love…and thankfully release them.
• Take a moment to focus your intent and find peace in your mind and your heart.
• When your ritual is complete, gently ring your bell three more times to close the ceremony, and extinguish your candles and incense.
• Take a purifying bath or shower, anoint your body with oil, and perform a self-blessing every morning and night for at least 7 days or for as long as your spirit feels necessary. (Although…cleansing, purifying, and blessing the body should actually be performed every day.) 
• Dab the back of your neck, center of your chest, inside each of your wrists, slightly above the groin area, small of your back, and insides of each ankle each morning with your attraction fragrance each of the 7 mornings. 
• Relight your candles and meditate on your intentions for a time each of the 7 nights.

Deities / Gods / Goddesses to Call for Attracting Love and Desire

• • Aphrodite / Venus | Aphrodite is an ancient Greek goddess associated with love, lust, beauty, pleasure, passion, and procreation. Her Roman goddess counterpart, Venus, is associated with desire, sex, fertility, prosperity, and victory. Aphrodite was known for having many lovers, both in fellow deities and mere mortals.
  • Eros | Aphrodite is known as the goddess of love, but her son Eros is who brought desire and attraction to humans. He is the god of sexual attraction, passion, and desire. The Roman counterpart of the Greek god Eros is Cupid.
  • Freyja | In Norse mythology, Freyja is a goddess associated with love, beauty, fertility, sex, and sensuality.
